About this event

This training course equips Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ students, faculty and staff with practical tools to safely and effectively manage confrontational situations through de-escalation techniques. Whether interacting with a distressed individual, managing a disruptive situation or responding to verbal aggression, participants will learn how to reduce tension, maintain control and promote a safer campus environment.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding the signs of escalating behavior
  • Verbal and non-verbal communication strategies
  • Staying calm under pressure and maintaining personal safety
  • Setting boundaries and using respectful redirection
  • Knowing when to disengage and seek assistance

Through real-world examples, role-playing scenarios and open discussion, participants will build confidence in their ability to defuse conflict and support positive outcomes.
