Ļć½¶Ö±²„meteorology student awarded prestigious FOX Weather scholarship

STARKVILLE, Miss.āĻć½¶Ö±²„ sophomore Isabelle Stewart is the fourth annual recipient of the FOX Weather Scholarship, a long-term partnership between the weather mogul and Ļć½¶Ö±²„that supports students pursuing careers in meteorology.

Established in 2021, the scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate with a strong academic record, demonstrated passion for weather science and a minimum 3.0 GPA. It provides financial support, professional mentorship and a 2026 internship opportunity with FOX Weather, FOX News Mediaās free weather streaming service.
Stewart, of North Fayette, Alabama, is majoring in geosciences with a concentration in professional meteorology and an emphasis in broadcast meteorology, along with a minor in communication. She is a member of East Mississippiās chapter of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society and was named its Member of the Year in 2024.
āBeing chosen as the recipient of the FOX Weather Scholarship is such a dream come true,ā Stewart said. āI am so grateful to have the opportunity to be mentored by such wise and inspirational professionals, and I am eager to grow my knowledge of meteorology. This internship is such an honor, and I am so excited for what is to come.ā
At Fox Weather, Stewart will be mentored by Meteorologist Steve Bender. Her early experience in the field includes shadowing WVTM-TV Chief Meteorologist Jason Simpson at the NBC affiliateās studios in Birmingham, Alabama.
